نيابة عن خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود – حفظه الله ـ, تشرّف صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير خالد الفيصل بن عبدالعزيز مستشار خادم الحرمين الشريفين أمير منطقة مكة المكرمة اليوم, بغسل الكعبة المشرفة.
وكان في استقبال سموه لدى وصوله المسجد الحرام, معالي الرئيس العام لشؤون المسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوي الشيخ الدكتور عبدالرحمن بن عبدالعزيز السديس, ومعالي نائب الرئيس العام لشؤون المسجد الحرام الدكتور محمد بن ناصر الخزيم.
وفور وصول سموه, قام ومرافقوه بغسل الكعبة المشرفة من الداخل بماء زمزم الممزوج بماء الورد ومسح جدرانها بقطع من القماش المبللة بهذا الماء.
عقب ذلك طاف سموه بالبيت العتيق ، ثم أدى ركعتي الطواف.
وشارك سمو أمير منطقة مكة المكرمة في غسل الكعبة المشرفة, صاحب السمو الأمير سعود بن عبدالله بن منصور بن جلوي وكيل إمارة منطقة مكة المكرمة للشؤون الأمنية, ومعالي الرئيس العام لشؤون المسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوي الشيخ الدكتور عبدالرحمن السديس, ومعالي نائب الرئيس العام لشؤون المسجد الحرام الشيخ الدكتور محمد الخزيم, وعدد من أصحاب المعالي الوزراء وأعضاء السلك الدبلوماسي الإسلامي المعتمدون لدى المملكة وسدنة بيت الله الحرام ورؤساء الدوائر الحكومية وجمعٌ من المواطنين.
وبعد الانتهاء من غسيل الكعبة المشرفة, تسلم سموه هدية تذكارية من معالي الرئيس العام لشؤون المسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوي بهذه المناسبة .
