أطلقت آبل تحديثاً جديداً لتطبيق الخرائط الخاص بها Apple Maps يجلب بيانات حركة المرور داخل المدن الرئيسية في المملكة العربية السعودية ودولة الامارات العربية المتحدة .
الدعم يشكل المدن ذات الكثافة السكانية العالية في المملكة مثل جده والرياض ومكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة أما في الامارات فالدعم يشمل العاصمة ابو ظبي ودبي والعين والفجيرة وغيرها.
سيتمكن المستخدمين في هذه الدول من التعرف على أحوال الحركة المرورية قبل الخروج من مع حساب الوقت الزمني للوصول بناءً على الحركة المرورية في الشوارع اي كلما ازداد الازدحام سيزيد وقت الوصول وهكذا ، كما سيخبرك التطبيق عن سبب الازدحام مع اقتراحات لطرق بديلة .
للاسف على الرغم من الفائدة الكبيرة لهذه الميزة إلا ان هناك الكثير من الخدمات التي لاتقدمها خرائط آبل للمنطقة العربية حتى الآن لذلك من وجهة نظر خاصة تبقى خرائط قوقل هي الخيار الأمثل للمستخدم العربي حتى إشعار آخر .
