تحتضن منطقة الباحة مهرجان العسل الدولي العاشر والفعاليات العلمية والترفيهية المصاحبة في الفترة من 11-25 من شهر ذي القعدة للعام الحالي، وذلك في حديقة الأمير محمد بن سعود بغابة رغدان.
وأوضح رئيس اللجنة العليا المنظمة للمهرجان والفعاليات المصاحبة رئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية النحالين التعاونية بالباحة الدكتور احمد آل خازم أن هذه الدورة تأتي متميزة عن سابقاتها، وأن هناك ثلاث فعاليات رئيسية وهي معرض للعسل وأدوات ومستلزمات تربية النحل، وفعاليات ترفيهية موجهة بصفة عامه للعوائل خاصة الأطفال تشمل مسرح وعدد كبير من العروض التعليمة والترفيهية، ومؤتمر علمي يشارك فيه علماء متخصصين من خارج وداخل المملكة يناقش أحدث ما توصل له العلم في مجال تربية النحل ومنتجاته.
وأضاف الدكتور الخازم أن اللجنة المنظمة بدأت في استقبال طلبات المشاركة في المعرض , وأن شروط المشاركة أعلنت في موقع الجمعية الإلكتروني وسيتم اختيار من تنطبق عليهم الشروط بعد انتهاء فترة التسجيل.
وأفاد آل خازم أن جميع أنواع العسل السائل والشمع المنتج محلياً ستكون متوفرة في المهرجان – أن شاء الله – ومنها السدر والطلح والسمر والصيفي والضرم والمجرى والضهيان والمورينقا وغيرها، وستكون بجود عالية حيث ستطبق عليها معايير المحافظة على الجودة المعتادة بحيث يفحص كل العسل المعروض بدون استثناء في المختبر من خلال لجنة من الخبراء ويمنع عرض أي عسل لا تنطبق عليه معايير المواصفات السعودية، كما لن يسمح بالمشاركة باي عسل مستورد الا إذا كان المشارك من خارج المملكة وبكميات محدودة.
