قال عن مدى تأثير القرار في أسعار الباقات: أمر يخضع للمنافسة بين مقدّمي الخدمة ونوعية الخدمات
أكّد المتحدث الرسمي باسم هيئة الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات عادل أبوحيمد؛ اليوم، رفع الحجب عن جميع التطبيقات التي توفر خاصية الاتصالات المرئية والصوتية عبر الإنترنت؛ المستوفية للمتطلبات التنظيمية في المملكة وذلك بدءاً من يوم غد الخميس غرة المحرم ١٤٣٩هـ، الساعة (12.00) صباحاً، دون الحاجة إلى توفير باقات محدّدة.
وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي، أن التطبيقات المستوفية للمتطلبات التنظيمية ستكون متاحة لجميع مستخدمي خدمات الاتصالات، ومنها على سبيل المثال: فيس تايم، سناب شات، سكايب، لاين، تليجرام، تانقو، وغيرها من التطبيقات، عدا تلك التطبيقات المحدودة جداً غير المستوفية للمتطلبات التنظيمية.
وأكّد أن هذا القرار يأتي تماشياً مع المسارات والتوجّهات الحديثة في قطاع الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات؛ وأن الاعتماد على إيرادات البيانات (تقديم الإنترنت) والخدمات المضافة، هو المسار والتوجّه العالمي الذي يجدر بالمشغلين في المملكة نهجه.
وأضاف أن الهيئة تعمل مع جميع أصحاب المصلحة لمنح مشتركي الاتصالات في المملكة كافة أرقى الخدمات التي تلبي تطلعاتهم وترضي احتياجاتهم.
ورداً على سؤال “سبق”، حول نوعية المتطلبات التنظيمية التي يجب على التطبيقات توفيرها، بيّن أبوحيمد؛ أن من أهم المتطلبات: وضوح آلية وإجراءات التعامل مع البيانات الشخصية للمستخدمين في المملكة، وإبداء مقدم التطبيق استعداده للتعاون مع الهيئة لمعالجة الحالات الطارئة، وكذلك إزالة المحتوى المخالف للأنظمة في المملكة، إضافة إلى الاستعداد لتوفير إمكانية إجراء المكالمات في حالات الطوارئ، وهي تنظيمات تتعلق بمصالح مستخدمي الاتصالات بشكل عام في المملكة.
وعن مدى تأثير هذا القرار في أسعار باقات البيانات، أكّد متحدث هيئة الاتصالات، أن انخفاض أسعار الباقات وارتفاعها يخضعان للمنافسة بين مقدّمي الخدمة ونوعية الخدمات المقدمة.
