كشف مسؤول في وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية، أو ما يُعرف بـ”النتاغون” إن العملية التي نفذتها البحرية الأمريكية في اليمن بيناير/ كانون الثاني الماضي كشفت عن معلومات حساسة تم استخلاصها عبر الأجهزة الإلكترونية التي أخذت من موقع العملية.
وأوضح المسؤول أن أحد الأمور التي تم تحصيلها هو معلومات تواصل للمئات من عملاء التنظيم ومتعاطفين معه ليس فقط في اليمن بل أيضا في دول بالشرق الأوسط والغرب، لافتا إلى أنه تجري في الوقت الحالي عمليات تقفي هذه الآثار. ولفت المسؤول إلى أن عددا من التيرابايتات (وحدة قياس حجم المعلومات الإلكترونية) تم تحصيلها من هذه الأجهزة وهذا يعني ملايين الوثائق التي يتم التحقيق فيها، ملقيا الضوء على وجود معلومات عن مناطق آمنة يتخذها التنظيم ومعلومات عن أهداف ودلائل حول كيفية تصنيع متفجرات بالإضافة إلى طبيعة تدريبات عسكرية. وفي رد على سؤال من الزميلة باربرا ستار، مراسلة CNNلشؤون وزارة الدفاع، حول إن كانت هذه العملية ضرورية رغم فقدان حياة أحد عناصر البحرية الأمريكي، أكد المسؤولون على أهميتها رغم هذه الخسارة المفجعة. |
